Marc Anthony with a Montreal September date

Marc Anthony will be in Montreal September 21st during the course of his tour Iconos. This will be his only Canadian tour date.  He will be the first to perform at the new Olympic Amphitheater which can hold an attendance of 15 000.

Making love out of nothing at all

Air Supply has just announced an October concert for Montreal.  An intimate night with Air Supply on October 25th at the Metropolis where only 1000 seats have been reserved. Last time this group was in Montreal was 2006 with a SOLD OUT Theatre St-Denis.  Let me tell you that this will be a magical evening you will not want to miss. Tickets are already on sale and are going for over 100$.

Johnny Hallyday hospitalized

French rocker Johnny Hallyday was hospitalized this past weekend following a bronchitis aggravation. Reports are coming saying he is doing very well now and there is no need to worry. He is planning on taking a few weeks off to record his new album which is planned to launch in November.

The 69 years old singer will still be performing in Montreal at the Bell Centre on October 4th and 5th at 8pm. Tickets are already on sale and are starting at 79$ each.

Patricia Kaas chante Piaf at the Olympia

Patricia Kaas will be at the Olympia in Montreal on November 2nd 2012.  A true international artist with a tremendous following, she will be commemorating 50 years since the death of Edith Piaf.  This concert will open at some of the world’s most prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New-York, the Olympia in Paris, etc.

The show entitled Kaas chante Piaf will also be released as an album. Revisiting the greatest hits of Edith Piaf, this album is central to Patricia Kaas’ tribute to the great French singer.

Carolyn Fe Blues Collective at Montreal’s House of Jazz

One of Montreal’s most colourful, original and magic venues is certainly the House of Jazz.  A true Montreal Landmark situated at the corner of Aylmer and President Kennedy.  It will be the host this friday night at 9:30pm to the Carolyn Fe Blues Collective. Festival Pop Montreal is less than a month away

Here is a fresh new name you might recognize from American Idol : Jacob Lusk.  One of the most talented contestants to ever sing on Idol is going to be part of this year’s Festival Pop Montreal.  The festival starts September 19th and Jacob Lusk will be performing some R. Kelly songs on September 22nd 8:00pm at Sala Rossa.

Art Garfunkel back on stage, exactly where we like him

Everyone was very worried about Art Garfunkel’s voice problems 2 years ago when his tour had to be canceled due to vocal chord problems. After all these hardships, he is now launching a new compilation  entitled The Singer. Last week, Art Garfunkel gave his first true concert in 2 years in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The compilation will go on sale August 28.  A new tour date for Montreal might be announced some time soon along with a possible reunion with Paul Simon.  Here is a true classic from Art Garfunkel, enjoy!

New Sylvester Stallone flick

The movie is called Rush Hour meets Taken Bullet to the Head. Typical Asian Cop / Wild Card combination once again with the kidnapping of the main character’s daughter. Release planned for 2013. 

Michael J. Fox is heading back to NBC

NBC announced this past Monday evening that it had won a bidding war for Michael J. Fox’s new sitcom. Without seeing a pilot, Michael J. Fox was able to get an order of one full season of 22 episodes. The premiere is scheduled for fall 2013. Of course, Michael will be one of the main actors but this time, Parkinson’s will be written into the script. Lately, Michael J. Fox had guest appearances on shows such as “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “The Good Wife”. This time Michael will be a married father of three residing in New York City.
