Marc Anthony with a Montreal September date

Marc Anthony will be in Montreal September 21st during the course of his tour Iconos. This will be his only Canadian tour date.  He will be the first to perform at the new Olympic Amphitheater which can hold an attendance of 15 000.

Making love out of nothing at all

Air Supply has just announced an October concert for Montreal.  An intimate night with Air Supply on October 25th at the Metropolis where only 1000 seats have been reserved. Last time this group was in Montreal was 2006 with a SOLD OUT Theatre St-Denis.  Let me tell you that this will be a magical evening you will not want to miss. Tickets are already on sale and are going for over 100$.

Johnny Hallyday hospitalized

French rocker Johnny Hallyday was hospitalized this past weekend following a bronchitis aggravation. Reports are coming saying he is doing very well now and there is no need to worry. He is planning on taking a few weeks off to record his new album which is planned to launch in November.

The 69 years old singer will still be performing in Montreal at the Bell Centre on October 4th and 5th at 8pm. Tickets are already on sale and are starting at 79$ each.

A newcomer that is worth your time

Joss Stone, a United Kingdom soul artist will be in concert in Montreal. At the one and only Metropolis on october 10th, she will be promoting her new album The Soul Sessions Volume 2. Tickets are already on sale. Here is a rendition of Son of a Preacher man by Joss Stone .

Full of energy on stage, with the possibility of being up close and personal at the Metropolis this sounds like it could be a real good night.

Because Melissa Etheridge will be in Montreal at the Place des Arts November 12th.  Montreal and Toronto are the only two Canadian cities she will be visiting. An album launch is in the works for september.  It will be entitled 4th Street Feeling.  Tickets go on sale August 17th at noon on the Place des Arts website.

Public Enemy at the Olympic Esplanade

ExpĂ©rience Montreal is a new family friendly Montreal festival and it will be starting August 24th.  A massive Hip Hop concert is planned on the last night ( September 1st ) and none other than Public Enemy will be performing.

Other big names are Michel Pagliaro and Malajube, they will be on stage on the 24 and 25.

KAGUYAHIME: The Moon Princess

The Grands Ballets Canadiens will make you relive the 10th century Japanese tale of the Moon Princess. At the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier located in the Place des Arts and at the heart of Montreal’s quartier des spectacles, this 1988 choreography will come to life once again.

The show dates are October 11-12-13, 18-19-20, 25-26-27.

Montreal will be hosting Comiccon at the Palais des Congrès September 14-16.  If you are a fan of Star Trek, Buffy, Batman and Kevin Sorbo then this is the event of the year. 

Here are the major highlights this year :
  • The 1989 Original Batmobile and Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Machine
  • Star Trek’s William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, John De Lancie and Wil Wheaton
